Stainless steel 310S angle is an austenitic stainless steel alloy consisting of iron, 24–26% chromium, and 19–22% nickel with a lower carbon content (max 0.08%) than the regular 310. This lower carbon percentage improves weldability as well as reduces carbide precipitation chances at high-temperature welding. It has a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa. The alloy has superior oxidation and scaling resistance in temperatures through 1100°C and good mechanical strength under thermal loading.
