Stainless steel 202 angle is an austenitic stainless steel that contains iron as the major element, along with 17–19% chromium, 4–6% nickel, and 7.5–10% manganese. The tensile strength of this type of steel is around 515–750 MPa, while the yield strength is roughly 275 MPa. It is cheaper due to the lower nickel and higher content of manganese and can be used as a substitute for 304, yet has reasonable corrosion resistance in mildly aggressive environments.
