309H angle stainless steel is an austenitic steel consisting of predominantly iron, 23–25% chromium, and 12–15% nickel, and a higher carbon composition (0.08–0.15%) for enhanced strength at high temperatures. It has a tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa, accompanied by outstanding resistance to oxidation and scaling. The alloy retains mechanical integrity and corrosion resistance under constant intense heat, making it appropriate for the use in the presence of extreme thermal cycling and adverse operating conditions.
