Stainless steel 304L angle is a ferritic stainless steel with principal constituent elements of iron, 18–20% chromium, 8–12% nickel, and low carbon (up to 0.03%) content to enhance weldability and minimize the possibility of carbide precipitation during welding. It provides tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa and yield strength of approximately 170 MPa. The alloy has superior corrosion resistance in a wide range of conditions, from mildly corrosive and acidic to chloride-rich environments, and provides good formability as well as mechanical performance.
