Stainless steel 201 angle is an austenitic stainless steel containing iron as its primary element with 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and 5.5–7.5% manganese. It can provide tensile strength of approximately 520–750 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa, with good hardness and moderate corrosion resistance. The lower nickel composition makes it more cost-effective than 304, while the increased manganese maintains its austenitic structure. It is appropriate for light to moderate corrosion atmospheres and has excellent formability and weldability.
