Stainless Steel 17-4 PH (UNS S17400) is a precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel that contains about 15–17.5% chromium, 3–5% nickel, 3–5% copper, and trace amounts of niobium. This material boasts impressive mechanical properties, achieving tensile strength up to 1100 MPa and yield strength around 1000 MPa when heat-treated (like in the H900 condition). It also provides excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness, and remarkable wear resistance.
