348H is a columbium (niobium) stabilized high-carbon form of 348 that enjoys improved creep strength and improved resistance to intergranular corrosion following welding or exposure to high heat for an extended period. It has a typical tensile strength of 550–750 MPa and exhibits mechanical stability in oxidizing as well as thermal conditions. The alloy enjoys good weldability, carbide precipitation resistance, and retains its structural integrity under long-term thermal stress.
