Stainless Steel 440C Sheets and Plates are made from high-carbon martensitic stainless steel, containing about 16–18% chromium and 0.95–1.20% carbon. This unique blend gives it excellent hardness and wear resistance after heat treatment. On the mechanical side, 440C boasts a tensile strength of up to 760 MPa, a yield strength of around 450 MPa, and a Rockwell hardness rating of up to 60 HRC.
