Copper Nickel Coil in the 90/10 and 70/30 grades is made from mostly copper with nickel and minor additions of iron and manganese to promote strength and corrosion resistance. The alloys exhibit superior seawater corrosion, biofouling, and stress corrosion cracking resistance. Mechanically, they exhibit tensile properties of 300–470 MPa with ductility. Slitting coils are manufactured with close tolerances and accurate widths, which are excellent for further processing. Their stable form and even properties render them perfectly suitable for demanding marine and industrial applications.
