Stainless Steel 420 Channel is primarily composed of 12–14% chromium, with carbon content between 0.15% and 0.40%, which gives it impressive hardness and strength after heat treatment. It may also contain trace amounts of manganese, silicon, and sulfur. This type of martensitic stainless steel boasts a tensile strength of about 700–850 MPa and a yield strength of around 400–450 MPa. It exhibits good ductility when annealed and excellent wear resistance when hardened. SS 420 is magnetic and well-suited for machining and polishing, making it a great choice for structural and engineering applications.
