316H channel stainless steel contains iron, chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), and a higher content of carbon (0.04–0.10%) that increases its high-temperature strength. It has a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa and a yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, and possesses good elongation and toughness. The higher carbon enhances its creep resistance and makes it compatible for high temperature service. It retains good corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride and acid environments, while providing stable performance in structural uses subjected to high thermal stress.
