Aluminium 2014 Circles consist of approximately 90% aluminium, along with copper (3.9–5%), manganese (0.4–1.2%), and magnesium (0.2–0.8%). This high-strength alloy boasts excellent machinability, good fatigue resistance, and limited corrosion resistance. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength ranging from 400–500 MPa and a yield strength of about 275–400 MPa, depending on the temper. Aluminium 2014 is heat-treatable, which boosts its strength and hardness for demanding applications. While it may not be the best choice for corrosive environments, it excels in structural and machining applications where strength is paramount.
