SMO 254 Foil is made up of roughly 20% chromium, 18% nickel, 6% molybdenum, and 0.2% nitrogen, featuring a low carbon content. This alloy offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking. Its mechanical properties include a tensile strength of about 650 MPa, a yield strength of around 300 MPa, and an elongation of 35%. The thin-gauge design provides flexibility without sacrificing strength, making it perfect for applications that require both corrosion resistance and mechanical durability in compact or layered structures.
